We recently commissioned two new Ministers of Care. Ministers of Care bring the Word, prayer and Eucharist to fellow parishioners who are unable to attend Mass. The Archdiocese of Chicago requires that candidates for the Ministry attend a formal training program, which is offered each fall and spring. Upon completion of the program, new ministers of care are then trained individually by experienced ministers in the area of their interest. If you or someone you know would like a Minister of Care to make a visit, please call the parish office.

What an amazing week! We are on our way home from Nebraska after our week of service. Every member of the team embodied Christ’s hands and feet at their worksites throughout the week. The Care for Our Common Home Ministry placed these special steppingstones into the newly designed butterfly garden! Thank you to the Frassati Academy Mundelein Campus Kindergarteners and Second Graders for creating such beautiful stones! All are invited to check it out when you come to church. The garden (located near the St. Francis statue) is currently in the “before” phase...stay tuned as each year the garden with grow and fill in with native plants and butterfly attracting plants! “It is good!”

The music used at yesterday’s Archdiocesan Care for Our Common Home Earth Day Retreat Mass was beautifully created by GIA musicians Tony Alonso and Jeanne Cotter. Their newest cd “Encounter: from the heart of Pope Francis” is available for purchase in the parish office for one week only. The St. Mary CFOCH Ministry is grateful to Lara Lynch and Lisa Oslovich for sharing their beautiful gifts of music which enhances the Holy and prayerful worship at Mass! “It Was Good!”

And they're off! The St. Mary of the Annunciation Military Ministry has sponsored a trip for Veterans to attend the Cubs game tonight! Go Cubs Go!
